12-13-06 - KC COUNCIL SUPPORTS KATY TRAIL
The Kansas City Council, representing 445,000 citizens of Kansas City, adopted a resolution in support of the Complete Katy Trail by a unanimous vote of 13-0 on November 30. They join the Pleasant Hill, Raytown, and Lee's Summit city councils, as well as the Lee's Summit Parks Board, the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Commission, the Cass County Commission, Mid-America Regional Council, and the Missouri Bicycle Federation and Kansas City Bicycle Club, all of whom have passed their own resolutions in support of the Katy Trail's extension.
